Pro controller not mapping, kind of wigging out when plugged in

So every time I plug in the controller, it exits out of the mapping screen, some times even opens a game, all on its own. It wont let me map any of the buttons. I tried running the program as an administrator (that worked for a different emulator I was having similar issues with) but it didn't work. Does anyone know a way to help? I tried to attach a video of it happening, but it was too large, so if anyone wants me to email it to them or something I'll to that.

I know it is a bit strange to use a pro controller for a sony emulator, but its the only one I have
