Persona game only shows a black screen (Windows 10)

I just downloaded PPSSPP version 1.11.3 and a rom files for Persona 1 and 2, and while PPSSPP works well, when I try to load the games it just flashes the game and then shows a black screen, no sound or anything. I'm not sure whether I need to download any new drivers or do anything on my PC to make it work, and I've aleady tried changing the backend.
I'd appreciate any help
