memory stick not showing?

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm having some problems with my game.

When I open up the rom in the emulator, it tells me that there's no memory stick inserted, the game takes 512kb of space, please inset a memory stick, etc. and it won't let me continue into the game without it where i can use savestates.

is this an issue with the rom or is there something i'm missing with the ppsspp memory stick?

What game? Some older games glitch if there's more than 2GB free space on a memory stick on PSP. As far as I know, PPSSPP doesn't yet have an option to fake less free space to make these games run properly.
