problem with rendering mode

i played harvestmoon back to nature boy and girl earlier, and the music sounded weird.
so i choose to skip buffer effects. the music sounded better, but the screen just went black.

   

and with that, i decided to go back to buffered rendering.
the music still weird but at least i can see now

   

then the problem came when someone talk

"skip buffer effect" skips some things that some games need to draw. It's expected that some games won't work when you enable it.
