God Eater 2

Please make sure that the both device using the same GE2 version (1.0 with 1.0, etc)

Yep, I'm using the exact same file on both devices, v1.0 since v1.40 has problems with the ppsspp (afaik).

Did you try re entering the Lobby for the joiner?

I managed to get it working... the solution was rather simple and unexpected. I was using the same save file for both devices (dunno why), as soon as I created another char I was able to join the session and launch missions and what not. Sorry for bothering and thanks for the answers
