Can I use mods on PPSSPP?
Hello! This is my first thread so it's unusual I'd start asking questions right off the bat, but there's one important question I have.
Is it possible to mod my game using an emulator? When I used to actually own a PSP, I had a modded version of GTA:VCS which was really fun to mess around with and so it would be really neat if I could mod my emulated game. Thanks in advance! |

RE: Can I use mods on PPSSPP?
That depends how the mod was applied, if you patched your game files with it, it should work just as well as on the real thing(except maybe that GTA games still have some sound issues if I recall). Fan translations are probably the most common of such "mods".:]
If it used cwcheats, it might or might not work depending if the game memory is same or differs between ppsspp and psp which does happen in quite a few games, but no clue if GTA is one of them, in cases where it doesn't work it still could be ported for ppsspp by changing those addresses fairy easily by anyone who has the game and know how to make stuff like that. If it used any other way, plugins or whatever ~ sorry, not possible unless you know how it works and can do it differently for ppsspp by either patching your files or using built-in cheat engine that supports cw cheat format. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |
