[Android] PPSSPP will only start with CPU usage overlay on in developer options.
So I have this odd issue and also an odd phone.
I have an UMI C1 with the following specs: OS Android 4.4.2 Kernel 3.4.67 builder2015@server-desktop #1 Fri Sep 5 15:42:51 CST 2014 CPU MTK6582, Cortex A7 quad core, 1.3GHz RAM 1GB ROM 16GB Display Size 5.5inch Type LTPS, corning III gorilla glass, OGS screen Resolution 1280 x 720 pixels HD screen Battery Capacity 2430mAh Weight 160g Size 154.5 x 76.5 x 7.9mm So the funny thing is if I start PPSSPP up without having the CPU overlay enabled in the developer options, it'll just go immediately black and stay there for about 10 minutes and then the phone reboots. While the screen is black, nothing on the phone is available : keys don't work, notifications can't be accessed, etc. Turning on CPU overlay however allows PPSSPP to start up perfectly. Once in memory I can play any game just fine (only tested P3P Portable though seeing as it is the only game I own for now). Attached is a pic of the CPU info, not sure if that will help. PPSSPP Version: 0.9.9.1-937-g473f388 is what I'm currently using but this also occurs with the latest stable. |

RE: [Android] PPSSPP will only start with CPU usage overlay on in developer options.
Can you connect adb? Is there any log output?
Do you have any of the other developer options enabled? If you can, try setting them back to defaults. It may help. -[Unknown] |
