[Solved] phantasy star portable 2 cwcheat problem

so 1st of all im trying to give my char extra extend points or give type points or lvl up class type to get more extend points

and nothing seems to work

i even was able to change my extend points with cheat engine but as soon as i enter extend points menu its going back to its native value
even locking value didnt help

and with cwcheat this hacks just do not work

so i wanted to test if other work and so i enabled all cwcheat hacks

and from over 200 positions of different hacks only 1 lvl up per 1 kill works speed hack works and rare drop hack works

rest like even inf hp pp money or max hp pp money just DO NOT WORK

i was even googling for nice few hours other cheats and still they just do not work

so wtf is going on here ? for me it looks like i have old version of cheats or old version of game well idk

why few of them works and rest dont ?

or what i am doing wrong ?

i enabled cheats before i loaded my save file - no effect
i enabled cheats when i was in my room than i go out of it and come back - no effect
i enabled cheats restarted game - no effect

so my question is WTF ?

The thing about cheat.db files on the net is that they collect everything, you get loads of duplicate codes and stuff without proper description, partial codes as well, quite likely those not working cheats were just made for different versions of the game.
That's pretty much why I'm not a fan of those files. It's much better to just search by the cw cheat header "_S game-code" for this game it would be "_S ULUS-10529", in most cases it's quicker because you have more chance of getting proper, working codes that will not waste time by crashing your game or make you test useless stuff like standing on your head just to make them work and certainly will clutter cheat menu way less since you can just copy cheats you need and not all of them with many duplicates.



About your CE tries I can tell you for sure through, that if you "found value, which get's refreshed by game" you actually did not found the value you seek. You made a very common mistake of assuming that displayed value is actually variable you wish to change, it often is, but about same amount of times it isn't.
I understand that this can be hard to understand for less experienced people, you find a value which is reflected on the screen and think it was success, but to begin with to cheat, you're not interested in finding value from the screen, but value which has it's place in actual gameplay calculations, it can be stored in different format, the whole logic could be inverted in compare to what you see on the screen, it could even be calculated from few different values by some function.
Use different scan options, limit your search range to psp ram or at least smaller range than full memory search to not waste time and you'll eventually find your thing or at least gain some experience trying. Also make sure you have "MEM_MAPPED" in edit>settings>scan settings enabled, otherwise CE will only find mirror copies of psp ram which are useless for cheats, but I guess you probably already did that, since almost every post about CE reminds about this requirement for ppsspp:].

i had it enabled and selected to search all types so there was no way i could just miss it by mistake

with cheat engine i was only able to edit money but i need to change like 4 values at once to make it to work but in fact it works im rich bi7©h now

i know difference between displayed value and calculated value i know how game memory works and cheat engine scanning mechanism works

but still mentioning it wont help me or any 1 else

i did search many different things i could get benefit from in game with cheat engine but expect money nothing seem to work

and even so i was doing it just for test i wanted to get extend points which are much like skill points in other games or more like ability points < they allow u to equip more weapons or higher rank weapons


anyway same with cwcheat i tested tons from tons of different cwcheat codes and from all that always only speed hack instant lvl up from any kill and rare drop from every monsters works

rest of them just do not works no matter from which site i get them or how many of them i enable or disable

i just ask now does any 1 know did i make any mistake or what can be wrong with this cheats? cause for example for final fantasy 3 cheats i found on google was ALL working like a charm so im just getting mad here because it looks like i made mistake and nothing is wrong with the game or cheats

The way you format your posts ~ lots of very short paragraphs, makes it hard and pretty confusing to read, but trying to answer your last question it depends what you really wanted. If you want to create cheats - your fault would be giving up, CE is easy to use tool, but not everything can be found quickly and there's nothing worse than being confident in own failure;p. If you're an user searching for working cheats - posting a cheat instead of a file filled with xxxx cheats will always give you way better and more helpful answers:]. Some cheats have to be slightly modified to work on ppsspp properly(any with 0xD type codes ~ which aren't supported), lots of people name PAR or any other TEMPAR cheats as "cw cheat" which makes them obviously not working even through they look similar. The cheats might be to different region or update which is easy to check by googling for any unique looking code line of the broken cheat and checking if it's posted for any other version.

And probably loads of other things, none of which would really be "your mistake" since there's no magic way to make all cheats taken from the net to work in games. That's likely why we have cw cheat forum to add tested stuff, post own cheats or whatever, not just to google as much cheats as possible since anyone can do it and you're experiencing first hand what it leads to, some will work, some others might not.

and well i stated very clearly what i wanna achieve in 1st line of 1st post
and if still you dont know then well that would mean u have bigger problem with reading than i with making a post

so thank you for your help even so it did not help but what ever i did lvl up my char and gained some extend points and i use only like 2 type of weapons so i have enough extend points to unlock all their lvls
