Just curious - is it possible ppsspp to preview the game like the PSP(video preview)

Like you all know,on some games when you are selecting game on the PSP,there is a video preview running.

PPSSPP can't do that now but is it possible?

Well, considering JPCSP can do it. PPSSPP should technically be able to do it as well

I guess that theoretically all the necessary functions to extract the video are already inside ppsspp. (IIRC this video is in Sonys PMF format, inside the eboot.bin, inside the UMD.)

You just need to find somebody who is willing and able to code this nice looking, but completely cosmetic, feature.

Yeah you could hook PMF and ATRAC3 playback on them.

Technically it would be possible, but it's a few hours of work for a very small feature so I haven't cared enough to do it yet.
