ppsspp Gold: How's it updated?

is it even updated via google play at all? i recently bought it and wanna know. is it only updated on major versions? since 8.0 then 8.1? and so on?

Both the gold and the normal Playstore versions of ppsspp get updated only when important changes are made and when great compatibility or new features are achieved.If you'd rather have the latest beta version which could have some bugs you can head to the downloads on website and click git builds.
