Simple question about disk space on iPadOS with récents games

hello, I use a samsung T7 usb-c SSD on my ipad. I have a lot of psp isos (600GB). but I notice that when the hard drive is unplugged I can still play games via the recent games tab. So I suppose that at some point ppsspp copies the game anyway to the ipad's memory and it's annoying because it risks saturating quickly. I haven't found where these "recent" games were copied by ppsspp. can you tell me if at some point we can purge this to avoid losing unnecessary ipad storage? Thx
