Need Help With On-Screen Keyboard

Hi, I just downloaded the emulator and I'm trying to run Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. When I get to the character creation screen's name selector, the on screen keyboard doesn't pop up at all. This exact problem happened for at least two other people, and I found the threads. The problem is the threads don't explain how they solved their problems.
