multiplayer for yo gi oh

i started playing this game last night and it worked just fine (btw, i'm and android user). however in my case, multiplayer isn't working right. I tried copying the IP, changed the mac address on both of my devices, disabled fast memory and maked sure that my settings are exactly the same with each other. when I pressed network mode it just says, "Network Initialized" in just a second and nothing happens. I just saw the default menu of the game. I cant play multiplayer via lan/portable hotspot at all. Since I'm a newbie there might be something wrong with my work. Help please! ???
