I tried loading a savestate that was saved today, and I got this error message,"Failed to load state: savestate is for an older version of PPSSPP!", however, I can load older savestates than the one I made today. How can I recover the savestate?

This may mean the file is corrupt, unfortunately. If it was created with the same version of PPSSPP then it means it must be incomplete. This happens when running out of storage space, for example.
