Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I couldn't help noticing after updating ppsspp that the BGM and sound effect options under more settings audio, seem to have vanished. Both feel like they've been drastically cranked up in games, since updating. Any news on why the option to fiddle with these has been removed?
