Issue/Choppy audio on some titles/s800
I'm having ridiculously choppy sound in both God of War titles and tekken 6 while having solid stable framerate 30-38fps.
Build 0.9.7 (0.9.6 was the same). I've played with settings, those are the fastest for me: Non-buffering rendering Frameskip - off (it's very slow when on) Auto frameskip - on (no difference since frameskip is off) Cpu 180 (0,60,180 basically all the same) All the speedup hacks - on Timer hack - on Prevent fps from exceeding - on ----- Worst is God of War, I've noticed that on buffering rendering mode even frameskip 8 doesn't bring positive improvement to sound. It's still choppy and overall everything is really slow. Non buffering mode frameskip 8 does improve it slightly, but really slightly, still bad. But fps are solid so the game plays very well (sure it's dark without buffering rendering, but very payable). |

RE: Issue/Choppy audio on some titles/s800
As example I've made this video with different settings:
1st device: Xperia Z Ultra 2nd device: Tegra Note 7 (Tegra 4) --- PPSSPP Build 0.9.7.2 Settings are the same on both devices: Buffered rendering - on Frameskipping 2 Auto frameskip on Rendering resolution 2x PSP Prevent FPS from exceeding 60 All hacks are off except Timer hack ------ Difference between devices is easily noticeable, looks like frameskip doesn't bring any difference on snapdragon 800. Like I've mention in first post non buffered rendering with frameskip off does bring solid 30fps to GoW titles on s800, but with buffered rendering - on and 2x rendering resolution results are really bad... |

RE: Issue/Choppy audio on some titles/s800
Another video of GoW running on Note 3 snapdragon 800, I've tried exactly the same setup on Z Ultra (same SoC) while I'm getting 35-30fps audio remains laggy. Makes me think that choppy sound is driver related
UPDATE: I've talked to author of this video, his device has Exynoss, not s800. Well, looks like sound issue on s800 is a driver bug.. |

RE: Issue/Choppy audio on some titles/s800
I have been having choppy audio on my sprint note 3 while playing Final Fantasy Type-0, has anyone figured out how to make it clear?
