Issues booting PPSSPP
Noooo idea if I'm posting this in the right section.
I grabbed the emulator in the PPSSPP off of the sites DL section for Windows. I unpacked it, and went to run the program... and it doesn't work. Right at the get-go. I run WinXP 64bit Pro. That's the only thing I know that could be an issue as to why the thing won't boot. (If I did post in the wrong section, perhaps a mod will be kind and move the thread into the right forum section. ) |

RE: Issues booting PPSSPP
Last I checked, PPSSPP requires XP service pack 3, which the 64-bit version of XP never got, so that's one problem. Two, saying it doesn't work doesn't really tell us anything. Do you get an error message? Does it just do literally nothing when you double-click the exe?
That said, if you want to run a 64-bit Windows OS, I highly suggest using at least Windows Vista, or better yet, Windows 7. XP x64 wasn't very well supported for much of anything. 4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux How to ask useful questions: https://web.archive.org/web/20110214010944/http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 I'm not Dark_Alex, nor do I claim to be. RE: Issues booting PPSSPP
Yes,that service pack 3 related.
When you install VC++ 2013 redist,if you don't have service pack 3,you'll get that error(the kernel is different number here but it's probably because of the OS...x86 XP) Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |
