PROBLEMS REGARDING TRAILS IN THE SKY

Yo guys,the main thing about my Trails in the Sky is that most of the gameplay is smooth but there are some moments where it lags with the sound for few seconds,also the menu section lags so much i literally forced my patience to access it,and here's the biggest problem...The emulator itself froze when I attempt the first fight in the sewer,can anyone come up with solutions on this?
