Headphones problem

So after downloading ppsspp my headphones started working only in one ear.Tried my headphones on my phone they worked perfectly. Tried a different pair and they had the same problem. But when i simply used my laptop speakers they worked fine. So somehow i have this problem only when i have headphones plugged any idea how to fix it?(tried all the typical stuff drivers,balancing etc)
