[Android] Audio sent to both speakers and headphones

Hi,
I am on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and want to play ppsspp without bugging my roommate. However, whenever I plug in headphones, I hear from both speakers and headphones. This is the only app with this problem. For instance, I can run Netflix and plug the headphones in. Speakers will shut off and sound goes through the headphones as you'd expect. Hope anyone knows a way to resolve this. Thanks.
