I'm currently using 1.0-75 x86 but I've seen this problem before too and when I try some really old ppsspp version,I don't see the problem.

The more games you have on the list visible and the bigger the window size, the more you'll have kb\mb per second while just looking at the games list.

Currently ppsspp is reading something constantly at 1.1mb per second

And btw, anyone else with Avast Home?
I''l report it as false positive but any version I download,it says it's a suspicious file and I can't download it

Edit:Strange, avast complains only about the x86 version
Edit2:And it looks like this is since
v0.9.9.1-1292-g2db9275(Add 256x256 icon to Windows icon file)
v0.9.9.1-1290-gf74add9 - this one is fine

I also are using Avast Free anti-virus, and its deleting the latest version of PPSSPPWindows.exe on x86 in my case, so in Settings / General / exclusions of Anti-virus, I added all my emulators folders to there.
Now the newest version is able to download okay with out being deleted.

Hope that helps. Cool
