ppsspp freeze on poweroff

Hi

I have a Sony Xperia Z1 and when I play with ppsspp. 0.9.8 it crashes that heavy that the phone is frozen too. I can't remove the battery so I have to hard reset the device. I never had that with older versions. But I like to use the latest version because it runs some games the older versions doesn't.

does it freeze on certain games only?

Also, I can imagine that multithreading can cause crashes, so make sure to not use that.
