Can I use multiple versions from the same folder

For example if I download 0.8.220,will older version work fine if I use the files from 0.8.220(I'm not talking about save states)
For example on those versions
0.8.1
0.8.61
0.8.125
I'm asking because newer versions are adding more options to the ini and the assets folder contains updated files with things inside that don't exist on older versions.

If I was you, I would prefer to use a folder for each version, this is simple and you will be sure to have no problem

I use pcsx2 that way(no problems at all)and I wanted to know if ppsspp will have any problems if I use it that way too.
