GTPSP Transfer Car Collection Data

Hey everyone, so with Gran Turismo PSP you have the ability to transfer cars to Gran Turismo 5 via a USB connection, With this, Will I be able transfer the cars to GT5 via USB on PPSSPP with a chromebook?

(note: i have tried pressing this option without a connection and then game crashed along with wiping my save file when i tried so i doubt it actually works)
