My D-Pad inputs are registered twice

Good afternoon,

I have just installed PPSSPP and everything works smoothly except for one thing, and it is that the inputs on the D-Pad of the controller I use are SOMETIMES registered twice; for example, in a menu the button will move twice instead of just once . So, does anyone know a possible fix to this? I use a Switch Pro Controller and open the emulator through Steam.
