Moving save from PPSSPP to a PSP--corrupted
I'm trying to move a save file for the american portable ops back to PSP, having started the file there and decided to try a controller in PPSSPP.
When I move it back, it says the save data is corrupted in the XMB and in game. Has anybody encountered this before or found a fix? If it helps I'm running 1.6.3 from Arch Linux. |

RE: Moving save from PPSSPP to a PSP--corrupted
The latest git - newer than 1.6.3 - has some fixes here. You'll need to load the save game in PPSSPP, and resave for it to update the save.
If it still doesn't work - this is a bug. Please file an issue on GitHub: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/new -[Unknown] |

It could also be the opposite situation where real PSP uses some awfully outdated cfw or plugin that breaks the compatibility with correct savedata. When using older one, upgrading to firmware versions 6.60 or 6.61 could help.

RE: Moving save from PPSSPP to a PSP--corrupted
OK, so both the 1.6.3 on Arch Linux and whatever is the most recent version of PPSSPP within Windows Retroarch both had this issue. I then tried installing 1.6.3 from the PPSSPP website tonight for Windows, and that produces a save that can be transferred to PSP.
Thanks guys, not sure what happened but I'm happy now for sure. |

RE: Moving save from PPSSPP to a PSP--corrupted
Could it possibably have to do with harddrive filesystem and the way Linux transfers the file? It has been a while since I heavily messed around with my physical PSPs (outside of a little testing), but I remember it being pretty finicky with how it likes it Fat partitions and files. Even Fat32 sometimes had issues on the older generation ones though less so on my Go and 3k models.
