The Sims 2 pets won't load

Hi,

I'm having this problem with The Sims 2 Pets. I start the game, get past the intro and after pressing the start button an hourglass icon appears and the game freezes. Nothing happens. The screen doesn't change, there's no sound and the FPS value is 0.0. I've left it to run for a whole night but nothing happened.

PPSSPP: v1.5.4 (x64) on Windows 8.1 x64
Rendering mode: Buffered (default)
Rendering backend: DirectX 11
RAM: 8 GB
CPU: AMD A6
GPU: AMD Radeon R4/HD 8500M
