Controller issues
I've started having issues with my controller when I try playing a game today, when I started ppsspp I was able to move around the menu with the controller like normal, then when I booted a game the controller stopped responding or doing anything. I tried using my keyboard and it didn't work either, so I went into the controls to rebind them again, thinking that something messed up and I had to reset them, when I rebound my controller it came up as x360_2 instead of x360. rebinding my keyboard did nothing different. so I rebound the controls so they were all x360_2 then tried playing again, and it still didn't work. I then tried to load a savestate to see if it would help, and it loaded properly but still wouldn't accept any input though it wasn't frozen. I've replugged my controller/keyboard a few times as well and nothing fixed it. I looked online and found nothing as well.

Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=12513 or http://www.x360ce.com |

Actually dont buy the expensive ones too, except a very few. Trust me they are all shit. Use any of the playstation line or Xbox line. I use Xbox 360 wireless controller and its not bad. Everything is Hitsuzen! |

RE: Controller issues
I am using a bluetooth Red samurai 2 game stop generic controller that works fine.... (well when I use the toshiba bluetooth stack with my actual driver ppsspp does not even realize it exists, on PC only android it works great and is the original purpose)
Anyways OP your issue is probably that you have a per game setting saved for that game and the controller bindings on the per game settings are wrong. To fix look to see if the game has a Gear looking icon on it.... if it does right click it and then select game settings and fix the controller settings in there. Or just delete your per game settings, but that is probably more hassle then just fixing it the other way. |
