PPSPP crashes my GPU after 20 - 30mins of playing

PPSPP crashes my GPU after 20 - 30mins of playing
So I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag Force 3 and after roughly 20 - 30mins my gpu crashed, black screen for a brief moment and got error. I didnt think it was the emulator until I played the same game again and got the same crash.

Specs are:

i5 760
radeon dual HD 7970
8gb ram

I think I have the latest driver installed for my gpu, not sure how to check. I have the AMD Install Manager installed

edit** I have driver version 15.300.1025.0 for AMD, another post said to downgrade but I'm not sure how much I should downgrade to

You're sure it's not overheating? Are you playing at some extremely high resolution?
