RE: PPSSPP for Pi
Oh, right. On Android and Windows input is read asynchronously on a separate thread. On SDL, it's only read on video flip, which might be the issue there. Not sure if SDL even allows reading input on a separate thread.

RE: PPSSPP for Pi
Ok, still stuttering a lot with a better power supply, but I don't think it's PPSSPP's fault.
sysstat is showing huge wait% spikes when this happens. I suspect my no-name brand SD card isn't performing consistently. Will update again once I switch cards. |

But only after I changed the system's i/o scheduler from deadline to cfq. Stuttering is still there, but less prolonged and frequent with cfq in use. |

RE: PPSSPP for Pi
PPSSPP is coming to kodi 17 in the new game addon category, alongside with lot other emulators, which will come to the pi as well, in openelec/libreelec 8. I know that there is already ppsspp addon in development, but don't know about it's status.
https://github.com/kodi-game/game.libretro.ppsspp Moreover, the Android-rpi project is getting pretty stable so also ppsspp for android can be tested https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/android-rpi |
