Cannot Change Controls

I downloaded the most recent version of ppsspp and have been trying to get my ps3 controller working through SCP DS3. When I had windows 10 it was working (weirdly) and now after going back to windows 8 I cannot change any controls with any controller. Is there any way to fix this?

You don't need to map the controls if you use your PS3 controller as a Xbox controller, you just need to enable this option on DS3. The PPSSPP is pre-mapped to Xbox controller.
