Hacking draw distance on games?

I think thats what it is, i.e the PSP versions of the GTA Stories games have far less bugs and emulate better however the actual screen is so small compared to the PS2 version.

Is there a way to change whats drawn to show the increased picture.

If not is there any 60fps hacks for the games.
