From all of the bug reports I've seen till now,I could say x86 is more stable than x64.

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

64 bits versions should provide better performance, although not a lot...

♦ Intel Core i7-6700HQ | 16 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M | Debian Testing
♦ Intel Core i7-2630QM | 4 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M | Debian Testing
♦ PSP-3004 | 6.60 PRO-C2

RE: What is the diference in ppsspp.exe 32 bits and ppsspp.exe of 64 bits?
The main differences are as follows:
* The 64-bit builds will generate better jit, since x64 has more registers and address space.
* The 32-bit builds will use 32-bit video card drivers. 64-bit will use 64-bit video card drivers. This is the biggest difference. If there are bugs in your 64-bit video card driver, the 64-bit version will not work as well. If your 64-bit video card driver is faster, the 64-bit version will be faster.

I personally use the 64-bit version almost always.

I'd agree with [Unknown] and vnctdj, but I feel like 32-bit x86 builds have somehow improved in performance at a faster rate and have caught up over the last major revisions or so with the performance of the 64-bit x86 builds, at least on my system.

On my rig in sig with the ATI 11.11a drivers, it used to be the case that the 64-bit build of a specific git version would be guaranteed to be globally faster for all games tested over the equivalent version of the 32-bit build, but in the latest git build tested, it seems to be more a wash between them both. This was something that surprised me, as in a previous thread, it was that discovery that led me to recommend the 64bit version without hesitation to any legacy ATi card owners using the same drivers.

In a limited test sample of 11 games below, the 32-bit version is visibly faster or tied in every game except for Crisis Core and Dead or Alive Paradise. Settings were kept the same between both versions, and the emulator was rebooted after every game was tested.

I have not changed my ATI drivers over the course of the year; they've always been the same since I began using PPSSPP.

My recommendation at the moment is to get both versions, and to conduct a rough benchmark on your own device using the games you'll be playing, since it's no longer a straightforward yes or no as to which version is best for your particular PC for a specific game. If you're using PPSSPP on a fast enough PC however, the difference may not be significant enough for you to even notice during normal gameplay situations; the results above were obtained using the unthrottling method.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1
