Is there a way to turn the framelimiter off for benchmarking purposes?
I know there is the button to unthrottle but this also turns frameskip on, so I can't use that to benchmark. |

I tried replacing the libppsspp_jni.so in the arm64-v8a folder with the one in the armeabi-v7a folder but then ppsspp complains about a missing native part for for ABI arm-64-v8a.

the regular 3ds (268mhz) is apparently even too slow for SNES emulation.
The New 3DS got a 804Mhz Quadcore, might be fast enough to emulate some 2D PSP games but thats about it.

Turning Dynarec (JIT) off fixes the issue but games will run very slow!
Dolphin has the same problem btw.
I doubt its a GPU driver issue, seems more like a CPU compatiblity problem.

well, the performance drops the more accurate and compatible the emulator gets.
it's the same with pcsx2. earlier pcsx2 versions were faster too but speedhacks like MTVU balanced that out.

does it freeze on certain games only?
Also, I can imagine that multithreading can cause crashes, so make sure to not use that. |

At the moment, PPSSPP is optimized to run on mobile devices, that's why they didn't add it. |

like I said. Buffered rendering does not change much.
