PPSSPP on PC with Sixaxis? - patazen - 03-04-2014 08:57 AM

Hello, I was wondering if you could play PPSSPP on PC with a PS3 controller? I have motioninjoy installed, and checking from the windows game controller panel it recognizes the sixaxis.

Or do I need any other software? Thanks Smile

motioninjoy isn't really recommended.
it can cause problems, and there are some privacy concerns.
that one makes your DS3 work with Xbox360 controller drivers.
it contains less junk, and is very reliable.

it has a downside: it makes your computer think there's always a controller attached.

i have a workaround here though, if it causes issues in any games:
install the Xinput wrapper if you haven't already.
go to control panel>administrative tools>services.
find Ds3Service, and set it to "manual".
create 2 text files that will function as an on and an off button.
paste the text "net start Ds3Service" into the "on button" file, and "net stop Ds3Service" in the "off button file"
rename both files, changing the ".txt" part to ".bat"
now run the "on button" file before you start playing, and the "off button" file when you're done.
