Wipeout Pure [USA] - hyakki - 01-14-2013 09:02 PM

DiscID: UCUS98612
ImageID: 0003 / 1409
Version: v0.5-247-g3931323 (64-bit, Jan 14)
OS: Windows (64-bit)
Notes: plays very fast, need to limit fps, quirky controls (emulator needs better analog support).

RE: [v0.5] Wipeout Pure - Henrik - 01-14-2013 09:06 PM

The timing is completely broken yes. The emu already has a framelimiter but the game thinks its running too slow and starts frameskipping internally. Suspect it's related to its music system which goes completely bonkers in PPSSPP and tries to load a new song every frame, just look at the logs...

On Android runs with BIIGGGG frameskip (but neae 1/2 of fullspeed, sometimes more than 1/2, but frameskip very big and game almost unplayable)

From 151 to 171 build Wipeout Pure doesn't work anymore Sad It shows SCE logo and black screen with controls.

Android. Last working version was 150. It runs almost full speed at 2x rendering, in Zone play it runs much faster than psp, i hope framelimiter will be implemented someday. I use Galaxy Note 2.

Framelimiter is implemented. Henrik has mentioned it in other posts. It's just that in Wipeout it's broken for some reason.

It should be working again from -169. Can you post the log if it's still not working for you?

I have the same problem with Wipeout Pure. It stopped working in version v0.6-151-g31eeb3d and it is not working in the most current version v0.6-173-gc9231c2.
I have no idea why this change to sceKernelStartModule is causing it. It is the same problem on both Windows and Android. I have attached a log file.

Will fix.

RE: Wipeout Pure - Henrik - 02-03-2013 08:16 PM

Alright, I've fixed it, and also taken care of the speed problem Smile

RE: Wipeout Pure - O_s_s - 02-03-2013 08:39 PM

179 version for me still no luck.

RE: Wipeout Pure - Henrik - 02-03-2013 08:44 PM

185 should do the trick. Please wait until it's built, or build it yourself Smile

Just wait a little bit for further builds. Orphis doesn't update the builds instantly. Sometimes you have to wait a bit. Wait for change with description "Merge pull request #585 from raven02/master …
Build fix" and you'll be up to date with the changes that have been made up to this very second.

Thanks. That was fast Smile I have just tested version 182 and it is working fine again. It seems to be a bit slow now, but I will have to compare with a real PSP to verify this.
Again, thank you very much for the great work, Henrik!

I have just tried a newer version v0.6-189-g996eb7a but now the problem seems to be back again. It worked in version 188. Well maybe I just need to be patient and wait for things to settle down :-)
