If you're lucky, the graphics will sometimes show. It's some weird timing issue. I was getting them like 1/9 times. But they don't stay forever.

Might be texture cache related, I guess.

Nothing change in current version, please fix it Sad

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - Efendija - 06-26-2013 02:31 PM

This game works perfectly so far in jpcsp 0.6 3040:3129, would be nice if ppsspp fixes the disappearing stuff, I don't like to use jpcsp Sad

Did Hrydgard notice this topic ? -,- , there were many update version of ppsspp since the first post, but problem about missing graphic of this game still exist ~.~

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - UselessAnonymous - 07-03-2013 12:17 AM

As much as I'd love to see this fixed, it looks like the issue with this game (texturing?) isn't an issue Hrydgard & co. have encountered as of yet, and given that there were maybe one or two posts in this thread before, this game was probably considered a low priority.

is'nt this games was a remake of gba version, does the storyline different?,as i know the games just have voices and somes unseen scenes(in gba does'nt have) and also the texture used, well the games was ingames,it might be playable one of this day,i enjoy the gba version(since the storyline is quiet best)

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - Efendija - 07-04-2013 08:37 AM

...and the gba version was a remake/port (idk) of wonderswan xD

As I said the game is completely playable on jpcsp, no issues whatsoever, I'm also using at3tool.exe so voices work too.

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - namgod - 07-04-2013 02:13 PM

but I wanna play it on my android phone, jpcsp can not do this. Hope they will fix this issue soon.

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - karry299 - 07-20-2013 06:15 AM

On the latest build it gets through the starting menus, start new game etc, but the main game screen doesnt load, its just black screen with nothing happening.

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - namgod - 07-20-2013 03:17 PM

What a pity ! When Hrydgard fix this small issue ?, I think he does not look this topic even one time.

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - Efendija - 07-22-2013 04:09 PM

^ The problem is this game isn't popular so nobody cares (as is the case with many other titles).

I'm happy I could play it on jpcsp since I don't have psp anymore. So instead of waiting for a fix that will happen who knows when, consider trying jpcsp and don't be picky because it doesn't work on phones. Take what you can. It's MUCH BETTER THAN NOTHING.

By the way I finished the game recently so it's playable from start to end.

You also have to consider the fact that: if we don't have a game, that makes it a lot harder to fix, if it ever gets fixed, because we can't debug what we don't have, heh. That said, emulators tend to work like this: if one game gets fixed, several more usually do as well(and some possibly get broken, but that's a different story), so if we come across another game that has similar issues, it should be fixed over time.

RE: Riviera: The Promised Land - TheDax - 07-28-2013 03:38 AM

Minor update, it seems like this game is working in 0.8.1-861 on Windows with no graphical issues(at least on NVidia), if you don't use the turbo button/fixed speed button at all before getting in-game. If you use turbo or fixed speed before going in-game, kiss the background goodbye, unless you reboot the emulator entirely. As for how far one can play, I have no clue.

you just lucky, it will crash randomly, choose "extra content" when you're in title screen or press start button to open option menu, you'll see result clearly.
they only fix many big problems and let small issue go to oblivion :-<
