ppsspp doesn't work instantly after starting - Nesin - 09-01-2013 11:54 AM

Hi,

well my problem is that directly after I start ppsspp, windows says that the programm isn't working anymore. I tried different versions of ppsspp, but it still won't work. What do I do?

My pc specs are:

Windows 8 Pro - 64bit
Intel® Core™ i3 CPU M380@ 2.53GHz
6,00GB RAM

To be honest I nearly don't know anything about graphics or what settings are good for emulators. So I really have no clue what to do...

Thanks for any help in advance!

Usually (but not always) this is a sign that your (probably integrated) graphics card lacks the needed functions to be supported by ppsspp.
See the big fat thread at the top of this forum.

Sorry, didn't see the thread. So basically (as much as I understood) it won't work on my computer now matter what because Intel doesn't support OpenGL2.0. Well... then I will try the Android version. Thanks for showing the thread.

I'd suggest using a program like speccy(just answer no when it offers to install Chrome/whatever else, you don't need them) to see in more detail what sort of system you have. If you do have Intel graphics, it probably won't give you an exact model number but it will at least tell you the series it is. We know you have a laptop already, so now it's just a matter of seeing which "series" it is so we can see if your GPU supports OGL 2.0 or not.

That's odd. You have an iX series laptop, which would presumably come with an Intel HD Graphics variant of some kind. Granted it isn't the HD 3000 and above, but I've mentioned in my guide that you should be good to go with any HD Graphics chipset.
