I think i done something wrong in regards to pbp files. PPSSPP reads the file but wont open it

If it's some homebrew but it in the GAME folder in memstick/PSP/ then try again.

If it's a commercial game, it shouldn't be a .pbp file, but much better an .iso or .cso file.

Aren't PSN downloaded games pbp too? Like only psn games (the new super robot wars oe for example, but I'm not sure since I haven't bought it yet), or maybe he is referring to some old psx converted game always sold on psn (which I'm pretty sure they can't run on PPSSPP).

Commercial games can come in a PBP format, vnctdj. But to answer the question, no, commercial game PBPs don't need to be in %memstick%/PSP/GAME.
