somehow it has ability to run adhoc on 32bit,
only one thing is bugging me why it doesnt support for changing the MAC address for each PPSSPP?

tested on GEB,
I could see my other PC coming to lobby, but because of we have the same MAC address we couldnt see each other on the game.
>.<

well, that's it.

I have uploaded 2 versions, and I should have made them have 2 different MAC addresses. Judging from that server message, that should be the case too, no (one is 01:01, and the other is 02:02)? Or am I really just confused?
Also, while this is based on 0.9.5, it doesn't have all of the new commits that Kyhel made - for some reason they broke compilation for me. That's why it's the "old" version where you have to hardcode the MAC adress.

darn, that's my fault now. I'm sorry Sad
I think I'm the one who get confused >.<

# after I look carefully at the SS I made, and it is true that both ppsspp has the different MAC address. how stupid I am -_-

anyway, what game have you tested to play localy via LAN?

Worms Open Warfare 2
Fat Princess

doesn't work
Dissidia 012
Soul Calibur (gives a black screen when entering the Versus part, might not have anything to do with adhoc itself)

have you tried instead of using coldbird.uk.to,
u use ur global ip address from
http://whatismyipaddress.com/

then u be the host, and ur friend and u put whatever ur ipaddress on the ppsspp.ini like 49.144.105.46 or something

RE: Online Support (PRO Online) - Kyhel - 11-28-2013 01:36 PM

@saydals PPSSPP-PPSSPP works, i think it's just your friend that didn't setup the emulator correctly.

@captainobvious I see on your screen that one of your emulators has 127.0.0.1 as IP address, it'll never work that way, the server needs to see the address IP of the machine in order to give the correct one to the other players that try to join you, if they try to join 127.0.0.1 they'll only try to join THEIR computer.

@betrayedAngel Just download the 32 bits version on the official builds, it should work (i've compiled my 32 bits version from the same source code and it works).

Yes you are right ~!

It works..
My mistake is wrong server adress ( localhost or 127.0.0.1 ...)

Thank you ~! ^^;

thanks... I've tried it and still bit confused about how this emu woks >.<

------>> (32 bit) <<----------

how do you set-up IP addresses for two PC over LAN?
I set my PC's IP address to 192.168.0.5 <<--- I set this up for adhoc server
I set my bro PC's IP address to 192.168.0.2 <<--- going to set it as client

then I set ppsspp.ini : adhocserver address to 127.0.0.1 <<--- which is my PC act as server
and I set my bro ppsspp.ini adhocserver address to my PC which is 192.168.0.5
of course I set different MAC addresses for both ppsspp.

then I open "adhocserver.exe on my PC" and run both ppsspp.

I tested MHFU and MHP3rdHD : the problem is I actually cant see my bro character on Guildhall even though on adhocsever.exe says his IP is joining the group.

this is SS taken from my bro PC (as a client) :

and this is SS taken from my PC (act as adhoc server) :

please tell me are there any step that I missed?
AFAIK : I use this method to play MHFU LAN mode via jpcsp and I never have any problem, I know this adhoc support on ppsspp is for an experimental use but I want to give my feedback regarding this amazing ppsspp build.

# FYI : I always set my firewall open for my bro PC and I can access my bro PC through LAN, and I think this is not my network that error..

RE: Online Support (PRO Online) - Kyhel - 11-28-2013 05:12 PM

@betrayedAngel You didn't skip step, but made a lot of mistakes Tongue First, PPSSPP adhoc doesn't work AT ALL like the jpcsp, since jpcsp doesn't require server, but can't connect over internet either. Second, NEVER put 127.0.0.1, nobody seems to understand this 127.0.0.1 points INSIDE your computer, you can't use this address on the network. if your PC has 192.168.0.5 where the server is running, just put 192.168.0.5 as proAdhocServer for both of the emulators, AND THATS ALL Big Grin The IP address for proAdhocServer, is the server IP address, then the server connects the 2 emulators together.
EDIT : In fact you did skip a step : you have the same MAC address for both emulator, you have to put a different one. I read wrong, my bad ^^

Big Grin

but when I set both ppsspp.ini proAdhocServer to My PC (which in case is 192.168.0.5)
my emu just poping this out ..

lol...
This like I'm gonna burst up getting along with it anyway.
haha..

RE: Online Support (PRO Online) - Kyhel - 11-28-2013 05:31 PM

@betrayedAngel you're telling me your brother can connect to your computer's server using 192.168.0.5, but not you ? xD Did you restart the emulator after making the changes ? I got sometimes issues like that when changing from MH3rdHD to MHFU without restarting PPSSPP. Also, if you did put 192.168.0.5 in your ppsspp.ini file, but still getting 127.0.0.1 connection, it's really strange, and i don't know what's causing the bug, but it must be you, since it works for everyone else Tongue

woah., it works !!

I did some mistake : proxifier -- a program to proxify my internet connection blocked ppsspp from accessing network -_-
I closed it and ppsspp runs fine Big Grin

lol, thanks you for this long chat.. finnaly I can take a deep breath Big Grin
