It worked! I tried it on version 0.7.6-1543-g9a0e05f and it worked! Peace Walker died right after start of the battle!

So the code didn't work with the latest build? makotech222, do you think that the new changes made to increase the compatibility with 0x6 codes broke the 0x2 ones?

RE: CwCheat Support - makotech222 - 08-23-2013 11:22 AM

Nope, no changes were made. No idea what he was doing that would change things.

RE: CwCheat Support - Gurlok - 08-23-2013 03:38 PM

Just as info, my brother tried to use this code on sd gundam g generation overworld (NPJH-50681):

_C1 Capital Max
_L 0x211D0600 0x0098967F

I already explained and tried to help him in order to make the code work, but with no success. Do you think that this is a bad made code? I also tried to manually find the correct value through cheat engine...resulting in a failure. If you could give me any heads-up I would appreciate it.

RE: CwCheat Support - makotech222 - 08-23-2013 09:09 PM

I would assume so, if it isn't working. 0x2 codes always work with the right address.

Alright, the UI is pretty much done. Right now, the pull request is still open, but i'd like it if someone with android PPSSPP can build it and test it on their system. You can also try the cheat.db import. The cheat.db file needs to be located on your sdcard/psp/cheats folder.

Here's a pic of the UI

Damn, I need to find a way to make it work then.

This is just so fancy, nice job makotech222!

Since I can't test it until it's added to master(and compiled by the buildbot),I have a question.
When you use the reload cheats button, what happens...all of the cheats are reloaded or only those that you enable from that menu?

RE: CwCheat Support - Gurlok - 08-24-2013 07:31 AM

I suppose only those enabled...when I manually disable some cheats by using _C0 on the .ini and press the "reload cheats" button only those enabled (_C1) are the ones working (assuming that there will still be the reload cheats feature).

RE: CwCheat Support - vsub_ - 08-24-2013 07:44 AM

I know that...the question is,does that feature edit the cheat file or he store the file contents on memory and enable\disable the cheats

RE: CwCheat Support - makotech222 - 08-24-2013 12:22 PM

It does pretty much the same as usual. "Reload Cheat" is pretty much obsolete on the settings page, now. So i should probably remove it. When you import from cheat.db, it will copy the relevant cheats into the game's cheat ini. When you exit out of the cheats menu, it will automatically reload cheats and execute the enabled cheats.

Oh and as a workaround, pressing "import from cheat db" will exit you to the main menu, so just go back to cheats menu from there. It does this in order to refresh the list. I will have to find a proper way to do it.

Edit: and finally, we are gonna need a good cheat.db file that contains all of the codes. The one i have now it from 2012, and it is pretty messy and has lots of duplicates.

RE: CwCheat Support - Ultimacloud123 - 08-24-2013 03:34 PM

Any confirmation of 0x6 code working. I hear it does but not so for me. 0x2 works no problems if it's a good code.

It is really necessary? I'd favor a dummy file which we can fill with our codes, but the decision is yours of course.
As side note, most of the cheat.db found on the internet seem to be updated till 2012.

RE: CwCheat Support - TheDax - 08-24-2013 04:35 PM

Hopefully a new Android build will be pushed soon. I cleared up all of the build errors(I think). Then the new cheat UI can be enjoyed on Android, too.

RE: CwCheat Support - makotech222 - 08-24-2013 04:58 PM

Well we can certainly add/remove codes from the cheat.db as we please, but i would like to eventually include one with PPSSPP
