Libretro Core - shinra358 - 12-28-2016 06:58 PM

So when would this be updated with the current standalone version?

To clear things up:
- PPSSPP project is unrelated to any of those third party projects like libretro, openemu and similar ones that borrow the emulator core.

In other words, if you want a libretro core, you should ask it on libretro forums/issue tracker.
Same for reporting bugs etc. if something can't be reproduced in ppsspp, but happens in one of those projects, the issue should be reported to them.

The only versions that are automatically updated are the android and windows build. The rest of the builds for various other things are done by people who wish to port ppsspp to those platforms. So the simple answer to when will the libretro core be updates is "when someone interested in updating the core with the technical skills to do so decides they wish to do it"

I think retroarch just started doing a patreon and might be doing core bounties (paying people to do work on the cores) so .... hopefully someone will work on it sooner rather then later.
