I tried out Final Fantasy IV _ Complete Collection on your PSP emulator.

It does works, quite good I might say, but.. there is green outlines on every characters . which makes its so hard to anything serious ...

According to some girl in this other forums - you can get rid of this outlines by removing linear texterting filtering ....

Quote:Turn off buffered rendering for text
That block\green outline stuff can be fixed by turning off linear filtering
If you want to fix message box (its a little bit misplaced to the right) turn off hardware transform

Here how it looks for me:

A>RGH!!

RE: Final Fantasy IV : The complete collection - vnctdj - 01-21-2014 10:38 PM

No, it's not stupid.
Your problem is related to a game in particular, so you have to post in its thread.

The green outlines are probably caused by settings either in your video card driver settings or PPSSPP's texture filtering or texture scaling.

its like taking someones thread and throwing it into a 2y old trASHBIN! god!

Yeah, somehow I don't think anyone else would agree with that. Besides, it sounds like you haven't even tried to follow everyone's advice regarding the settings. If you have and you're still getting the lines, post your hardware, since it could be a driver issue.

Or, like taking a scrap of paper off the floor and tacking it to a board where people will see it. I probably wouldn't have seen your post if it hadn't been merged here.

My Hardware is Windows 7 32-bit . My graphic card is kinda bad i admit.. but like.. My issue was ...

i wanted to download a older version of psp .. as in this version i can't tweak the texture filtering from linear and others stuff.. therefore i wish just to download the version 0.7.6

that white pillar there is always visible on the world map screen in roughly the same place as im moving about . more of its kind appear when i enter the mist cave.

pretty much tried every setting on 0.96 and 0.95 on two different computers with no luck.

also not sure if its related or not but theres no "battle shatter" effect when entering random battles like on actual psp.

EDIT: upload of mist cave example.

FF4 crashing - ZeepZeep - 02-10-2014 12:55 AM

Hey guys. First time posting. I recently downloaded PPSSPP and FF4 complete collection. When playing the game, I reach the point that i am fighting Rydia and when she summons her eidolon the game crashes. Has this happened to anyone else? ???

What version of the emulator are you using? State your device/system specs as well.

Try using the latest build from the buildbot page.

It's working fine for me over here using the latest build from the buildbot which is v0.9.6-848-g739da04. I started a New Game and quickly played through the first dungeon, beat the Mist Cave boss, went to Rydia's village, and the eidolon summon went through smoothly. No crashes here.

Specs are in my signature as usual.

Thanks for the reply! I downloaded that version you posted and when I try to start it, the program gives me the error message of "msvcr120.dll is missing from your computer, please re-install the program and try again".

I'm on my laptop. Specs are as follows.
Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @ 2.30 GHz
6 gigs of ram, running windows 8
Intel HD Graphics 4400 edition.

I have no problem running games like Bioshock Infinite and games of the sort. Anything I can do to fix this new problem?

Download and install the new Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from Microsoft.

You can get it here.
