Goes to main menu but after selecting new game it will black screen.Sometimes does not pass the first move before menu

Hello from Spain!
I love this game, and it works on PPSSPP emu! (at least the level1, it's hard to play without a gamepad for me, haha). It's a bit complicated do it run, but I've been stubborn with it (pressing pause and changing settings during the intro and menu). I've prepared a "Save State File" (at the begining of level 1) for anyone who wants to play this game in PPSSPP for Windows. I don't know if it's allowed posting this kind of files in this forum (or url to my dropbox). Let me know, regards!

Still has issues. At first you can play the game but if you leave back to the menu and try it again the game will freeze.
And input's broken.

Parappa the Rapper Freezing Issues - Jadus Valentino - 08-21-2015 03:58 AM

I'm having some trouble playing Parappa. After I completed the Onion's rap I was about to start the driving rap, but the screen froze while it was transitioning to it. I quit the emulator and loaded m save file and it froze at the continuing screen.

Is there a way to fix this?

PaRappa The Rapper seems to freeze completely once i finish a level and if i just keep playing without beating the level it works fine the graphics look just like it should the preformance is smooth and my pc can handle games that are in full 3d via ppsspp so it cant be my pc so it must be the compatibility (hence why i posted it here) i also checked through the forums for In-Game topics and none were on parappa the rapper so i thought to report this and im using ppsspp v1.0.1 and although my pc is an SoC (or System on Chip) acer laptop (3.89gb of usable ram an intel celeron N2830 @ 2.16Ghz and an intel hd graphics card with around 1762 MB of VRAM) most other games work flawlessly with graphical upscales as long as they arent too big so my pc can definitely run this ok so it definitely isnt too low spec for psp emulation. (sorry for a posibly overly long and probably too informative post as im a new person here) also an image will be shown as well its a cropped image to fit well and from the small part you can see you can probably tell and it never loads past a stage i can get save data but whats the fun in that if i cant beat the game myself

Parappa the Rapper works perfectly now using the latest automated build from buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/

No more freezes after playing a video.

Tested both Android and Windows versions.

The game doesn't work on 1.3 or 1.4.
The first level is playable but if you finish or exit it the game will freeze.
When the log is checked the, the last error thrown is
