Hey guys, does anyone know why my Tekken 6 .ISO won't copy to the /PSP/GAME folder on my Galaxy Note 1. I'm using a Mac btw because the Windows 7 boot is retarded for not wanting to install the driver.

It just says "Cannot copy file"

Excuse me, but what is the "Skip Updating PSP Memory" for?

Please correct me if I am wrong but, as far as I know, it is used to activate the FramebufferToMem option. Deactivating it is like setting FramebufferToMem = True. You can deactivate it to enable interaction with objects in games like Danganronpa. Deactivating it means you also lose some speed.

Interesting, I might have to see that for myself. I'll try it out on the game you just told me, that way it'll help me better understand your explanation. Thanks!

RE: PPSSPP options explained - vsub_ - 07-15-2013 07:54 AM

What does Options=>Render Resolution=>?x Render Resolution actually do.
Can this option somehow decrease the game speed...the only thing I found about that option is that it changes the size of the ppsspp menus and the size of the ppsspp text messages while in game(vps\fps,standard,fixed and so on).

There is no difference in the menus and text between 2x and anything above...the window size is changed between 1,2 and 3 but between 3 and 4,there is no change.

I'm asking because I often see posts like "changing the render resolution fixed the problem".

And btw as a side note for the newui...all of the menus on the right side are missing at 1x and the menus at the top are acting as if you set the resolution to 2x or above

This is taken from the awesome reply by solarmystic in http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=940&pid=37217#pid37217

(07-22-2013 02:04 AM)xZabuzax Wrote:  If that's the case then why are there 2 Read Framebuffers To Memory options?

If Nvidia can use either one those 2 then Read Framebuffers To Memory(GPU) needs to go, or am i missing something? Or maybe some games have different issues with those 2 options?

We really need an updated readme explaining all this because the PPSSPP options explained thread is out of date.

The Read to Framebuffers (GPU) options offers a faster rendering method for NVIDIA cards afaik for this game (or any other games that need this option to be enabled), which is why the option is still there.

AMD, Intel and Android devices (like PowerVR and Adreno chipsets) have to use Read to Framebuffers (CPU) for proper functionality in games that need the option enabled. This is also slower than the above method, but required for non NVIDIA cards since they lack the proper support in their drivers.

The bottomline is that, if you have an NVIDIA card, you have a faster choice, that is all there is to it. If there weren't any speed benefits, the option would have indeed, been made redundant, and removed.

(Which is the case in Android builds, if you've downloaded one of those, you'll notice that the Read to Framebuffers (GPU) option has been hidden, since it serves no purpose there)

RE: PPSSPP options explained - Elucidator - 07-29-2013 04:25 AM

umm... shouldn't there be a new post to add the explanations to the new options in the latest GIT builds? I'm a bit confused since some people have conflicting explanations on the options...

RE: PPSSPP options explained - TheDax - 07-29-2013 04:34 AM

Which options are you confused about?

RE: PPSSPP options explained - Elucidator - 07-29-2013 04:47 AM

I know the basic ideas to the 4 rendering options but the way i understood it somehow seems to be blurry...

thers a post above that somehow explains it but is it just me?

Can you write on the actual thread made for PES 2012, its found at http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=872

Also try using the same settings as PES 2013 uses, you may get better speed especially now, as new optimizations have been added to devices like yours. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=2753&pid=38284#pid38284

RE: PPSSPP options explained - vsub_ - 08-03-2013 05:26 AM

In term of compatibility,is the "Interpreter" better than "Dynarec"
I mean,is it possible a game to run(no matter how slow)in Interpreter and not in Dynarec
