He has a private build that he basically has no intentions of sharing, so don't mind him.

Although tbh I don't know exactly what I did to make it work. I just thought I'd note it's possibly due to a commit in the last few months (I don't usually add every commit verbatim to my build, unless it's really complicated and doesn't have known regressions). This game never had any detection problems in my build ever since I started playing; it "just worked". Well actually, I did need to fix this game in my build since it uses Low Level audio (which, before this game I didn't implement in my build since it wasn't necessary/used in other games I played) but I doubt fixing the audio would have fixed object detection (unless the game has an extremely bizarre way of detecting objects which involves audio).

It might be worthwhile for you guys to try v0.8.1-125, since some users reported it's better than the newer builds for this game :

Low level audio? As in it doesn't use the typical Sony libs(meaning it won't trigger HLE code) to do sound? That's interesting.

Yeah I tried ver 125 gf5da5f4 and I still couldnt interact with objects at all (but the weird brightness issue//funky colors) are gone, so it definitely LOOKS nicer it's a shame I can't play it at all haha...

Also apparently the fan translation people are going to continue working on ronpa2 until they get news that the official english translation is actually underway. (at least that was the last update they had back in mid july)

Thanks everyone for looking into it. I guess it's time to play the waiting game. Project Zetsubou are the people working on Danganronpa 2, they will release only if NIS America doesn't release their version first.

If anyone wants to hammer through what broke the colour it's a commit between #2049 and #2070. Orphis won't let me download windows builds inbetween those (wtf? I've been having internet troubles lately though...). None of them look like they could have broken it to me, but I tested #2049 didn't have the broken colours, and #2070 did.
edit-those commits can be found on pages 51-52 in the ppsspp github commits list.

It was a link that had a direct torrent of the game plus an old version of PPSSPP. This game currently works best on 8.1-125, iirc.

Me too. It works fine with 0.91 but still have the problem with sound and graphic too.
