The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC

Hi, has anyone else encountered an issue where the screen goes black after when the data from disc 1 after bootin up the second disc? I'm new to emulation in general and I've been reading up on fixes in the forum and there was mention of a change UMD option after the game asks me to save on chapter 4. I havent found this option on the pause menu the the 4 regular ones plus continue. Might this be the cause for the black screen on the 2nd disc?
