RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
FYI for AMD/ATI card users trying to run this game and getting crashes when starting a New Game, ensure that Catalyst A.I, is set to OFF or Low.

This game and Persona have issues when Catalyst A.I. is set to High/Advanced in the AMD Control Panel.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
I don't want to create a new thread so i'll report the issue here.

This little issue was happening for a long time but i don't see any threads about this so i guess this issue is not important, but here it is just in case.

When playing the screen glows and then the glowing stops, then it glows again, etc...

Glowing:

Not glowing:

That issue happens with buffered rendering turned on, if it's turned off the screen doesn't glow (see pic #2).

If buffered rendering is either in GPU or CPU the screen doesn't glow but everytime the game tries to glow the game slows down, the slowing stops for a while but then it slows down again.

Keep up the awesome work dudes.

Edit:

In newer svn revisions this game sometimes crash the emu after the intro. The crash is random so i can't reproduce it.

[CPU]: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz
[GPU]: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5
[PSU]: EVGA SuperNOVA G1 1000W (80 Plus Gold)
[RAM]: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz
[MOBO]: MSI Z97-GAMING 5
[PC CASE]: ENERMAX Ostrog GT (Red)
[CPU FAN]: Cooler Master: Hyper 212 EVO

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
I can't reproduce your crash (yet), but the glow is definitely there. I wonder if it's related to the other halo/glowing issues in games like 3rd Birthday and Assassin's Creed.

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
I decided to check it out as well. My version is PPSSPP 0.7.2 (62) which is the lastest build:

Yes, the glow is definitely there and STILL there, TheDax. No crash or shut down at all. However, I decided to playing much further longer and I noticed that the glow disappears sometimes then the glow came back on the most of time. You need to take a look at it.

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
This game work very well.

And the @xZabuzax's post bug (glowing and slowdown) is the same.

With Non buffered rendering, its ok at all (maximum Speed).

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
Hi all, new here Smile Just purchased the Android gold version. I'm running Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins relatively smoothish on my S4, but the gamepad key mapings are all screwed up? I use a Phonejoy gamepad and that one works with most other games in PPSSPP, but here the same mapping is all screwed up?

Anyone any ideas? Or how can I get in touch with the developer? I know he lurks around here and is very helpful.

Thanks!

RE: Ultimate Ghost´n Goblins
Hi all,

With the latest PPSSPP version (v1.3.0.1) in my Nvidia Shield TV (Android) the game plays very well for a few minutes but then it always crashes (at different points, always after a few minutes playing).

Anybody else having this issue in Nvidia SHield TV or other Android platforms? Any ideas?

I remember it played well a couple of months ago - perhaps something changed with the latest PPSPP version that screwed this game?

Thanks
