RE: Tekken Dark Resurrection
I tried using save states but it didn't change anything. The only thing I can do is turn buffered rendering off but then its just a black screen instead of the melting effect the last poster mentioned.I'll just keep messing around with the settings and let you guys know if anything changes.

[split] 100% Complete Saves
Is their a way to hack Tekken 5 DR save data to share with other systems? Namco locked the save to a specific device, so I cannot use other saves. Shame really

Merged.

The thread you posted in is for posting 100% complete saves.
That's why I merged your post here because it is more of general discussion Smile

RE: Tekken Dark Resurrection
The crash that happens after Stage 3 when using Armor King in his Story Mode has been fixed from v0.9.8-227-g09c7948 onwards. You can now finish his entire story on PPSSPP with no issues. (except for the usual missing video at the end, but this is a global issue for video playback in the game. You can skip it by hammering the start button.)

Thanks to sum2012 for the fix.

Tested with rig in sig.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz

RE: Tekken Dark Resurrection
I have a problem with the game using windows. At some stages (Like the one with the smoke and the helicopter, and Jinpachi's stage) there is a black screen but it only shows the hud. Switching to Buffered rendering fixes it. But right after stage 8 in story mode ends (I'm playing as Jin), PPSSPP suddenly crashes. Is there a problem with my settings or something else?

Use the latest build from the buildbot, PPSSPP shouldn't crash at all when using Jin in his story mode with Buffered Rendering.

Make sure Hardware Transform is off for this game (to fix the missing life bars.)

Final Stage with Jinpachi using Jin in PPSSPP v0.9.8-264-g27b0bae:-

A black screen appears where the ending video should playback after you beat Jinpachi, but the game is still running. Hammer the start/select button during the black screen, and after a while, you should be brought back to the main menu.

Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection (USA)
Greetings. My little brother found an issue with Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection (USA). It appears that in Team Battle mode, whatever character the player selects to play as first, the next character's moveset and model always gets the first selected character's if you lose with the first selected. Or, a better explanation may be that, the character itself isn't really even changed, only the sound effects and skin are overwritten to the first character data. For example, if I selected Xiaoyu to be first, then Jin to be the second, the result was this (Winning Pose): (See attachment)

Characters can get really weird when selected Marduk at slot 1, or Yoshimitsu, for example.

It may be only my ROM however, I'm not sure. Check for yourself.

Tested on 0.9.8 Official release.

RE: Tekken Dark Resurrection
@Zieldak

I can't reproduce the issue on the EU version of the game (UCET00424). It seems to be working as expected.

I chose Xiaoyu 1st and Jin 2nd as you did against two other A.I. oppnonents in Team Battle Mode, and lost the 1st battle intentionally. Jin came in with his normal intro after Xiaoyu lost. (see attachment)

It's a very funny bug, that's for sure.

I used the latest Windows x64 dev build located on the buildbot which is v0.9.8-308-g9dbb26a to test this out.

Use the latest dev build from the buildbot. It shouldn't crash, you can make it past the 4th battle and onto the 5th. The issue was fixed sometime ago.

RE: Tekken Dark Resurrection
PPSSPP build v0.9.9.1-311-g6fa1872
Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection USA (ULUS10139)
Android phone Idol 2 Mini S

Black screen appears on Jinpachi boss fight and in Helicopter Stage. You can fight, but you only see HP bars, nothing more. Its only during fight, not on cutscenes/continue screen. Tried several settings from this thread, like disabling Hardware Transform, changing to Buffered Rendering or Disabling Frameskipping, but that didnt helped. Any clues how to solve that problem? Game with that blackscreen in those 2 stages is unplayable, other stages works great, on Non-Buffered Rendering and Auto Frameskipping 1. Other games works perfectly (like Crisis Core, MHFU, UG'n'G).

EDIT:
Solved, downloaded latest build, and on black-screen fights just changing to Buffered Rendering and disabling Disable Slow Effects, plus need to increase Frameskip to 2, cause of low speed and framerate from that options. And can anyone suggest settings to maximize speed/FPS ?

RE: TEKKEN DARK RESURRECTION
I Found A Solution To All Your Problem But This Is Only For Androids So Look Closely: Set The Mode To Buffer Rending, Set Auto-Frameskip On, Put Frameskip On 2, Uncheck The Hardware Transform And Disable Slower Effects, Set Spline And Bezier Is On Low Or High Depends On How You Want It, Check Timer Hack, Disable Alpha Test, Disable Stencil Test, And Texture Coord Speedhack. Next Go To System Check On Fast Memory (Experimental), Multithread (Experimental) And I/O On Thread (Experimental) And There You Have It, You Can See The Life Bar And The The Black Screen For The 2 Levels And Intro Movie Will Be Gone But It'll Take Time For Some Players To Take In The Slow Gameplay In Some Levels But Its The Best I Can Do So Please Enjoy The Game (:

RE: Can I Run Tekken DR On My Android?? Using PPSSPP
It will run, but how good is going to depend on your preference. You'll probably need some nominal to moderate frameskipping for the game to be playable and keep your resolution to 1x.
