If you absolutely must run it from such places, run it as administrator, but I highly discourage this.

If that's not the cause, then we'll need a few more details:
Do you have free space on the drive you're running the emulator on? Basic question, but still good to know.

I've got it running from a folder on my desktop, so I'd hope that wouldn't be an issue. Running as admin didn't work either.

And yes, I've got nearly 50 gigs available on that drive.
